Welcome to the Ehrhardt laboratory at the Carnegie Institution for Science. We study plant cell development and morphogenesis, utilizing live cell imaging techniques to visualize the organization and dynamic behaviors of molecules and organelles. Problems of special interest include organization of the cell cortex, plasma membrane, and cell wall by the cytoskeleton.

NEWS11/24/08 The site has been down for some time due to a server crash and a very slow response on my part to port the site to Dreamweaver, organize a new server, and get it all back on line. There should be many updates over the next few weeks including site reorganization, and addition of our work on cellulose synthase, microtubule +TIP proteins and our collaborative work with the Smith lab on the role of TANGLED protein in marking the plane of cell division.
