Nucleolus
In Arabidopsis cells expressing free GFP, nucleoli are seen as dark spheres within brightly labeled nuclei, suggesting that free GFP is normally excluded from the nucleolar volume. In the nucleolus class, nucleoli are more brighty labeled than the surrounding nucleoplasm. The relative amount of fluoresence in the nucleolus, as compared to the rest of the nucleoplasm or the cytoplasm, varies among the nucleolus tag lines.
